This 30-Minute Chicken Alfredo Pasta is a quick and easy dinner that’s rich, creamy, and incredibly satisfying. Tender chicken combined with a velvety Alfredo sauce and pasta – all ready in just 30 minutes! Perfect for busy weeknights when you need something delicious fast.

For the Chicken & Pasta:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips or cubes

  • 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of your choice

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)


Instructions

1. Cook the Pasta:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  2. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions (about 8-10 minutes) until al dente. Drain, reserving a small cup of pasta water for later if needed. Set aside.

2. Cook the Chicken:

  1. While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Season the chicken strips with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  3. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

3. Make the Alfredo Sauce:

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.

  4. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.

  5. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and cook until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Add a pinch of nutmeg (optional) and season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Combine the Chicken, Pasta, & Sauce:

  1. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat the pasta evenly.

  2. Stir in the cooked chicken and mix everything together, adding some of the reserved pasta water if the sauce needs to be thinned out.

5. Serve & Enjoy:

 

  1. Plate the creamy Chicken Alfredo Pasta and garnish with fresh parsley for added flavor and color.
